UK Pavilion Ambassadors

The United Kingdom Pavilion is looking for Ambassadors for Folklorama 2016!
Dates:  Week 2,  August 7 – 13th

What does it take to be a Folklorama Ambassador?
United Kingdom Pavilion ambassadors need to be passionate about our UK culture and love Folklorama!
·         Ambassadors are required to attend approximately 7 -10 mandatory Folklorama events (from June to August).
·         Ambassadors volunteer at the pavilion for the entire week of the festival (Aug 7th- 13th) and tour other pavilions during the
1st week of the festival (July 31st – Aug 6th ).
·         Ambassadors are responsible for providing cultural tours and hospitality to visitors from other pavilions.
·         Knowledge of many aspects of United Kingdom culture, including history, music and dance, and food is essential!
·         Ambassadors are also asked to attend additional media promotion and could be featured on television, radio, or social media.

Due to the rigorous demands on Ambassadors during the week, we do not recommend Main Show performers serve as pavilion ambassadors, unless they have very small roles within the show.

Four Ambassador Positions are available:
Youth Female,  Youth Male, Adult Female , Adult Male
·         Youth Ambassadors ages 14 – 17
·         Adult Ambassadors ages 18 & up

How do to apply to become a United Kingdom Pavilion Ambassador?
