SUMMER IRISH DANCE CLASSES

Registration for our Summer Classes is now open!

2020 Summer Classes will be held on Monday and Tuesday evenings and are a great way for students to keep up their dances and make progress over the summer months.  Dancers from all divisions are welcome to enrol in Summer classes.

• Recreational dancers participating in Folklorama are encouraged to enrol in summer classes, however it is not mandatory. 
• Competitive dancers who wish to compete at Regionals (Oct 2020) are strongly encouraged to enrol in summer classes.

SUMMER CLASS DATES

 *Summer Classes will not take place during the week of Summer Camp.  Once camp dates are finalised we will advise dancers of a make up lesson class on a Wednesday evening for the classes missed during Summer Camp week.

We understand dancers may not be able to attend all summer classes due to holidays and vacation plans.  Drop in classes are also available for those who are unable to commit to the full summer schedule.

NORTH AMERICAN NATIONALS 2020

CRN NORTH AMERICAN NATIONALS

Congratulations to our 37 dancers on their many achievements at the CRN North American Nationals in Minneapolis last weekend.  We had a fabulous time at this year's Nationals and thanks to all the parents and family members who were able to attend, volunteer, and support the dancers.

McConnell Irish Dancers were honoured to receive the Celtic Spirit Award, sponsored by Cheer Factory, for the school who displays outstanding team spirit and sportsmanship.  Well done to all our dancers and families!

FEBRUARY SCHEDULE UPDATE

FEBRUARY SCHEDULE - UPDATE

February is a very busy time for us at McConnell Irish Dance with 37 dancers getting ready to compete at the CRN North American Open Championships.  This is the highest number of qualifying dancers we've ever had for Nationals and we are very excited for the competitions as the dancers have been working very hard.  Be sure to follow their results on the McConnell Irish Dance Social Media (Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook)

This year we have been asked by CRN to supply our stage, flooring, sound, lights, and backdrop for the North American Nationals.  It will be a very good fundraising opportunity for MSDSA but requires a lot of work and planning on our part.  Our instructors are going to be very busy looking after transport of stage and set up of all equipment which requires more time than usual for this competition. 

With this in mind, we have updated our class schedule for February.  Please see below for the dates where classes are cancelled in February.

• Dancers are welcome to attend a make-up class for the missed lessons.  Please see dates for make-up lesson opportunities and let us know via email to info@mcconnelldancers.com if you wish to attend a make-up class
